In December of 2012, Zach and Sesar began the fruitful process of writing short instrumental songs, with the idea that at some point someone would round out their songs with the best intentions, but hopefully just someone competent on bass. Enter Josh Andrews, the 1/3 of the Chico band GOAT, who is more the happy to give his best shot at handling the low end for the new songs.
Caught in the world between Mogwai, Isis, Explosions in the Sky, and Pedro the Lion, CITIES will continue to try and write material that makes them happy knowing that others will be happy to hear what they play.
Keep your eyes and your ears open, cause we're coming to a city near you to make you happy once again. Or least, make ourselves happy.
